Partner Adv. Idan Adler Reiss was appointed as the Israeli Trustee of Nuvo Group, a pioneering Israeli med-tech company that spent nearly two decades leading R&D in Israel with the support of the Israel Innovation Authority.
In 2024, following an unsuccessful SPAC merger in the U.S., Nuvo Group entered parallel insolvency proceedings-initially under Chapter 11 in the United States, and subsequently in Israel in 2025.
The proceedings involved extraordinary legal complexity, featuring cross-border forum disputes and conflicting judicial rulings across two distinct legal systems, primarily regarding the transfer of core intellectual property assets.
Through a targeted cross-border legal strategy and a multi-party mediation process with the U.S. Chapter 11 representative, as well as the company’s officers and directors, Adv. Adler Reis led the proceedings to a comprehensive settlement, which was approved today by the Tel Aviv Insolvency Court.
Working alongside Adv. Adler Reis throughout the case was Adv. Zvi Karl, who actively handled the complex legal representation and management of the proceedings across all stages.
