Adv. Lior Dagan, head of our insolvency department, was appointed by the Tel Aviv-Yafo District Court as a trustee in the bankruptcy proceedings of Michael (Mike) Ben-Ari, who is under investigation for what seems to be one of the largest Ponzi scams in Israel’s history.

The appointment of Adv. Dagan in this case was determined in a precedent decision made by the Tel Aviv District Court, which rejected the Commissioner of Insolvency’s opposition to the appointment, stating that the Commissioner’s current practice of appointing trustees in individual debtors’ insolvency proceedings is illegal.
