Our firm represents members of a group of Australian companies in a proceeding first of its kind in Israel

Attorneys Ofer Furth and Lior Dagan, together with a team of lawyers from our Firm, are conducting a thorough examination and investigation in Israel on behalf of certain liquidators of a group of Australian companies, which have been involved in insolvency proceedings, in light of a tax evasion case in Australia.

As part of these proceedings, the economic relationship between the companies in liquidation and certain Israeli banks is being examined, including Discount Bank of Israel Ltd., which recently reported that the Bank’s exposure in this case is estimated at approximately AUD 190 million.

These are the first proceedings of their kind in Israel, which are conducted within the framework of recognition cases opened in the Tel Aviv-Jaffa District Court, in accordance with the provisions of the Insolvency and Economic Rehabilitation Law, 2018.

The Australian liquidators are represented by attorneys Ofer Furth, Lior Dagan, Dudi Sulema, Sivan Lev and Nadav Sheffer from our Firm
